We are Out of Here --  Rapture?

This writing is not intended to be a complete telling of this topic, but with a thought to brevity, it should allow for good learning.
Probably no topic or issue can stand alone without consideration for information from other topics and issues.  Therefore, for better understanding of terms and concepts used herein, other papers should be read in conjunction with this paper and others.  One in particular for early reading is What is in a Name

Rapture is not a saving (or reprieve) FROM something,
rapture is a joy FOR something (like a bride feels on her wedding day).

1    By no way is this intended to answer all issues regarding the topic of the so called Rapture, but updated versions of this writing will hopefully close the gap.  Besides, there are plenty of other people also writing on the topic.

2    Rapture in modern English is defined as spiritual or emotional “ecstasy”.  The operative part here is “ecstasy”. This is relevant as the rapture doctrine is modern.  The pre-tribulation position is that the rapture is a “saving”, not an ecstasy.  An ecstasy, especially in this instance, is as a bride walking down the isle to meet her groom.  She is in ecstasy - rapture.  She is not being saved FROM anything, she is going to her husband.  Salvation and rapture are not the same thing.  So, the pre-tribulation rapturists are mis-using the word rapture.  The verse set 1 Thessalonians 4:16-18 is typical for proving a pre-tribulation "rapture".  The key words in those verses are "caught up".  "Those alive and remain shall be caught up with ...".  Those who promote a "rapture" (pre or post tribulation) take it from the Latin word "rapturo," which in turn was a translation of the Greek verb "caught up" as found in 1 Thessalonians 4:17.

3    Is there a Rapture?  Maybe.  This might be when the bride goes out to meet the groom (when the alleged "church" meets Yahshua whose heavenly/spiritual name is Israel (the creator) - see paper on "What is in a Name").  There may be a rapturous feeling, by the people who have entered the Kingdom of God/Heaven, on the day Yahshua/Israel (the creator) comes and gather (caught up) his people, but that is a different thing than being saved from something.

4    But the focus here is - Is there a PRE-TRIBULATION Rapture?  The simple answer is NO.  At least it is not supported in Scripture.  I do not simply mean that the word “Rapture” is not in the Bible.  Now of days, there are many who will retaliate to a challenge about rapture not being in the scripture by saying that while the word "rapture" is not in there, the event is.

One of the things I find a little (very little) humorous is how people will make their own words to replace the one their God gave them.  I am not referring to words which are translated from one language to another, but making new words and substituting them or adding them.

But the supposed act is not referenced or even hinted   The issue here is the ubiquitous doctrine that certain people will be “taken” as a means of “saving” them from something, whether it be pre-tribulation or mid-tribulation or post-tribulation (which would seem to make little sense if they are being saved from the tribulation).  The rapture doctrine is contrary to the definition of the word and is not supported in Scripture, it even contradicts Yahshua's own testimony.

5    A challenge to the basis for a person’s religion is often perceived as an attack on their whole world    After all --.

Faith is the bedrock of our religious beliefs.

But what happens when that foundation is shaken to its core?

There is a danger in this as ---

Blind faith can lead us toward the light or plunge us into eternal darkness

6    Many are taught in today’s businesses called “churches” that there will be a "Rapture" of the so called "church" BEFORE the tribulation begins, hence the term pre-tribulation rapture.  It is preached from the pulpits, there have been books written about it and movies made.  Some churches say "We're out of here," when speaking of the Tribulation.  Most of the time, what they do is talk about what happens AFTER the alleged rapture.  There have been many books and movies with titles like “Vanished” and “Left Behind”.  A recent popular movie called “Left Behind” had a trailer (teaser) proclaimed something like “You know what happened, now see what comes next”.  Ask yourself, what difference it makes what happens next if you are taken and saved the torment.  So, why concern yourself with what comes next if you are not going to be here for it?  The point is, they almost always treat the rapture as a foregone conclusion, and NEVER first prove it. Here is a synopsis from the left behind promo:

Synopsis:  "In one chaotic moment, millions of people around the world suddenly disappear leaving their clothes, wedding rings, eye glasses and shoes in crumpled piles. Mass confusion hits while vehicles suddenly unmanned veer out of control, fires erupt and hysteria breaks out as the living stare in disbelief and fear at the empty places where their loved ones were just seconds before. This is the rapture that God has planned as  the first sign to begin the unraveling of the end of time."
This review of the movie/story proves the point, that the rapture is assumed and what happens after is the only issue.  All these stories and preachings have one thing in common.  They begin AFTER the alleged rapture (saving).

7    One of the movie trailers flashes across the screen “Seeing is Believing, Don’t be Left Behind”.  They clearly promote and encourage people to want to be TAKEN and not be left behind.  Satan must be very happy.

8    Those believing the pre-tribulation rapture doctrine also believe the book of Revelation does not concern them.  They do not believe it was written for them, nor meant to be understood.  It was written for those who would be LEFT BEHIND, after the Church has been removed.  After prayerful study it is found that nowhere in the Scriptures does it say that a rapture will precede the Tribulation.  Belief in this rapture doctrine eliminates any urgency to study Revelation and satan has many believing this deception, that they are completely safe from the Tribulation.  Many will receive him as the Christ (Messiah) when the rapture has not occurred and the ante Christ (notice ante, not anti) comes. But, today many believe they have nothing for which to prepare.  I can accept this, as Scripture says only a remnant will be saved.  So, if many (as in most) are not prepared, then Scripture is fulfilled with only a remnant and an elect inheriting the Kingdom of Heaven.

Rapture Origins

9    From where did the rapture doctrine come?  The early church fathers did not teach this. They believed that Christ would return after the Tribulation.  This theory largely began and gained popularity around 1830 when a young woman by the name of Margaret McDonald from Glasgow, Scotland had some "visions" of a select group of Christians being caught up in the air before the days of the Antechrist (often mis-read antichrist).

10    The pre-tribulation rapture doctrine is a modern term and idea.  It has been held that John N. Darby began the doctrine of pre-tribulation rapture.  It is more correct that Darby had contact with Margaret McDonald who had a vision about the coming of the Lord.  It is believed that Margaret's handwritten account of her vision indicates the belief in a pre-tribulation rapture. And, that this is the very first time the concept of a pre-tribulation rapture has been articulated.  This is based on an old book written in 1840 by Robert Norton. In this book, Norton alleged that MacDonald was the originator of this belief. And, the book contains the entire letter written by Margaret recounting her vision.

11    Deeper study and reading of Margaret’s own writings indicates that she believed that she expected true Christians to be on earth during the time of Antichrist/Antechrist.  This is contrary to the pre-tribulation doctrine.  Pre-tribulation followers and preachers are not supported by the originator of their claims.  A study of Margaret and her vision is a discussion in itself.

12    Within a short time, her prophetic outlook was mirrored in the September 1830 issue of the Morning Watch.  The early Brethren assembly at Plymouth, England adopted this view along with John Darby, Macintosh and Scofield.  It was a common practice during this time to date set Christ's return.  This theory is taught even today (albeit not supported in Scripture).

Rapture Proofs or Spoofs

13    Yahshua/Israel (the creator) will surely come for His Church (those who have found the Kingdom) but not pre-tribulation.   Many use 1 Corinthians 15:52 to supposedly prove a pre-tribulation “taking”.  But this verse is self evident of its timing – “at the last trump”. (en# 1)  The last trumpet, the 7th out of 7, can not be the first and it can not be pre-first, therefore, this “taking” is not pre-tribulation.  Being that it’s timing is the 7th of 7 trumpets, it seems that the timing is near the end of the tribulation.  This seems to make sense as Daniel reports that Yah told him that in the end days, blessed will be those who come through 1335 days (which is about 3.5 years). (Daniel 12:8-13) (en# 7.1)

With the last trump issue rearing its head and proving pre-tribbers wrong on their timing, the pre-tribbers are now saying that the last trump is apart from the 7 trumps mentioned in Revelation and other references.  They say that old Israel (the people) used to blow trumpets for a variety of reasons and the blowing of those trumpets were shadows of prophecy.  They say, the 7 trumpets marking the return of Yahshua/Israel (the creator) (Messiah) are only one set of trumpets and not neccessarily the one referenced in 1 Corinthians 15:52.   These pre-tribbers have at least one thing correct, in that rituals of Israel (the people) were shadows of prophecy.  But, 1 Corinthians 15:52 and its context of the term "last trump" makes no reference to any set of trumpets other than the 7 trumpets mentioned in Revelation.  Since 1 Corinthians 15:52 does say "last trump", then surely there is at least on trumpet prior to it.  The only refence for more than one trumpet in the end days is the 7 of Revelation.  The trumpets of Revelation occur during the tribulation, not after, not before.

14    These same believers use Matthew 24:40-41 and Luke 17:35-36 (en# 2en# 3.1) as further proof of the “taking”.  But this is another example of taking a verse out of context.  Both Matthew and Luke set the stage with Yahshua saying that the timing of the tribulation will be marked by events liken to the times of Noah and Lot.  Yah does not do anything without first giving notice.  In the teachings of Yahshua recorded in Matthew and Luke, Yahshua tells us that some will be taken and some will be “left behind”.  Yahahua uses Noah and Lot as examples.  In the case of Noah (and his family), they were left behind on Earth and the unsaved (physical saving) people were TAKEN (killed).  In the case of Lot (and his family), they were left behind on Earth and the unsaved (physical saving) of Sodom and Gomorrah, were TAKEN (killed).

15    When the disciples of Yahshua ask him where these people were TAKEN, Yahshua answered that they were TAKEN where flesh eating birds of prey gather (Luke 17:37 & Matthew 24:28) (en# 4en# 5).  Where do such birds gather?  They gather where there are dead bodies.  Those who are “TAKEN” from the Earth are DEAD, killed, just as in the days of Noah and Lot.

16    Most, if not all, of the verses which pre-tribulation doctrine pushers claim support their position really DISPROVE their position.  Let us look at some more of the verses pre-tribulationists claim in support of their belief and doctrines.

a  “In the twinkling of an eye”

b  “the dead in Christ shall rise first, then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord”.

c  “Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.  Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left”.

d  “there shall be two men in one bed; the one shall be taken, and the other shall be left.  Two women shall be grinding together; the one shall be taken, and the other left.  Two men shall be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left”.

17    Each of these when taken by themselves can be made to mean anything.  They can even be used together to mean still something else.  Consider, that
“in the twinkling of and eye, two shall be in the field and one will be taken.  The dead in Christ shall rise first, then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, and shall we ever be with the Lord.”
This being a combining of the above verses seems to make it sound like we will join Christ in the twinkling of an eye, in the clouds, and be with him always.  “IF”, this were an accurate relationship of the verses, then the only thing missing is WHEN.  Rapture believers and teachers, will tell you the timing is pre-tribulation.  But these verses do not say that.  In fact, none say anything about PRE-TRIBULATION.

18    These are some of the most popular verses of scripture which are used to ostensibly prove a pre-tribulation rapture.

19    The first is from 1 Corinthians 15:52.  Let us look at the WHOLE of the verse.

“In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.”
20    Pre-tribbers say this is a conversion of the chosen people and that this verse proves the conversion will occur in a twinkling of an eye.  As far as that statement goes, it seems correct.  But timing is the issue.  Is it PRE-TRIBULATION or some other time?

21    We do not have to examine the whole of this verse or even much, or any, of the context to let it disprove pre-tribulation rapture.  The timing of this event is the proof that this verse does not support a PRE-tribulation anything.  The timing is mentioned in the verse as being “at the last trump”.  This verse does not say “first” trump or any other numbered trump, but it does clearly say “last” trump.  This means there was at least one preceding trump.  In fact scripture tells us there are 7 trumpets.  The enumeration of the trumps indicates they occur successively and not all at once.  Since this event, whatever it is, occurs at the LAST trump, it did not happen prior to the FIRST trump.  Why is that significant?  Because if the trumps occur in sequential order, the first trump sounds at or near the beginning of the tribulation, or at least closer to the beginning than the last trump.  But in any event, the LAST trump does not sound prior to the tribulation, or pre-tribulation.

22    Therefore, this “twinkling of an eye” or "raising" (caught up) does not happen pre-tribulation.  This verse fails to support the pre-tribbers, and is contrary to pre-tribulation activity.

23    The second is from 1 Thessalonians 4:16 & 17. Let us look at the WHOLE of the verse.

“For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:  Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.”
24    As with the “twinkling of an eye”, we need only check the time reference.  The “trump of God” is the last trump.  It is the trump that sounds announcing the dead rising, and only after that do those whom are alive get “caught up together” to be with Yahshua/Israel (the creator).

25    Again, thie time of this event is not at or near the beginning of the tribulation, let alone pre-tribulatiion.  This verse fails to support the pre-tribbers, and is contrary to pre-tribulation activity.

26    The only aspect of 1 Corinthians 15:52 and 1 Thessalonians 4:16 & 17 (the previous 2 examined verses) is that pre-tribulation rapturalists have correct is that Yah’s people are taken to be with him.  In these references they mis-represent the timing.

27    The third is from Mathew 24:29 - 41 (en# 9.1). Let us look at the verse and its context.

“Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.  Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left”.
28    Starting with verse 29, Yahshua answered the questions put to him by his disciples as to when he will return.  We are told the time is IMMEDIATELY AFTER the tribulation.  So we now know that the time reference here is after the tribulation and not before it.  Continuing the lesson Yahshua tells a parable to further explain what he means and to enlighten us about the Kingdom.  In verse 37 we are given an example and application of the “taking”.  The example is regarding the days of Noah.  We are told this “taking” will be as in the days of Noah.  The people (generally) were doing the things they always did, without care or preparation for what was coming.  All this while, at the same time, Noah was preparing, he was “doing” something – works.  We know how this story ends – Noah was “saved” and all the others were “taken” away (Matthew 24:39).  This is the example we are given to show what will happen to the two who are in the field and at the mill.  One of each is taken and the other is left.  Based upon the example Yahshua gave, the one taken was not saved, while the one left was saved.  Then Yahshua brings us to the present (future) and says “Then shall two be in the field, the one shall be taken, and the other left”.  This TAKING is compared to the days of Noah.  Who was “taken” in Noah’s time?  Who was “saved” in Noah’s time?

29    With this set of verses the pre-tribbers say the ones “taken” are the chosen people of God, and are the ones “saved” from the tribulation.   But that is not what the scripture says and is not what Yahshua said.  Moreover, the timing is AFTER the tribulation.

30    This does not mean those left will have an easy life.  Noah did not have it easy for over a year after the tribulation of his day.  In fact, we may actually endure much tribulation as those described in the various end times writings and acting as part of the army of Israel (the creator).  But those same writings encourage us to survive the tribulation.  They say we who survive will be blessed. (Daniel 12:11) (en# 7.3)

31    This example is the same throughout the Bible.  The story of Lot is similar.

32    To claim to be one of those taken is to put oneself in the category of those removed from God.  These sections of scripture fails to support the pre-tribbers and is contrary to their professions.

33    The fourth is from Luke 17:34-36. Let us look at the verse and its context.

“there shall be two men in one bed; the one shall be taken, and the other shall be left.  Two women shall be grinding together; the one shall be taken, and the other left.  Two men shall be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left”.
As with Noah, Lot was saved while Sodom and Gomorrah were “taken”. (see Luke 17:29 & 30 & 35 & 36) (en# 3.3)

34    To claim to be one of those taken is to put oneself in the category of those removed from God.  This section of scripture fails to support the pre-tribbers and is contrary to their professions.

35    The four Gospels, parallel each other while reporting the same events from four different men’s perspectives.

36    Therefore, what Luke is telling is the same thing Mathew told us.  Those taken are not saved, while those left are saved.

37    Yahshua explained how your family and friends will turn against you and even render you to the beast power, all the while believing they are doing good, albeit for the antechrist (before Christ).  But in Matthew 10:22 (en# 6), Yahshua gives us a light at the end of the tunnel for all our SUFFERING.  Yahshua clearly says those who endure till the end will be saved, NOT those who are TAKEN early.

38    When the beginning (or before the beginning), also known as PRE-TRIBLULATION, do you want to be taken or left behind?  If you understand the teachings of Scripture, you better want to be left behind.  Those “left behind” and surviving 1335 days will be saved, even blessed (Daniel 12:11) (en# 7.2).  Daniel tells of this time being AFTER the sacrifice being taken away (the Christ lamb) and the abomination making desolate (the tribulation).

39    It is difficult to briefly show the rapture theory and list all the Scriptures disproving it.  But Yahshua cautioned us that MANY will come teaching falsely (Matthew 24:24) (en# 8).  False teachings regarding the 2nd coming of Christ is a dangerous deception.  Those who have found the Kingdom will go through the Tribulation. Each will be fully tested.

40    Be prepared so that you will not be deceived by seeking to save your life in a rapture!  Yahshua issues yet another caution that if you seek to save your life (in a non-existant rapture) you will lose your life, and if you give (lose) your [physical] life (in suffering the tribulation) you will preserve your [eternal] life (in the Kingdom of of Heaven (Luke 17:32) (en# 3.2).  To many who are not accustomed to reading and studying scripture, this can sound like a contradiction.  But in simple terms, if you try to save this life (like Lot’s wife) then you will not have life in the Kingdom, and if you sacrifice this life, then you will have life in the Kingdom.

41    Regardless of when the “taking” occurs, YOU WANT to be “left behind”.  You better.

42    There is much evidence to show that there is no pre-tribulation rapture (saving), but it too is basically accomplished by using pre-tribber's own claims to show it as non sequitur.

What and when is a Rapture?

43    The only rapture (ecstasy) in the Bible regarding meeting Israel (the creator), is when the bride goes to meet her groom, and then she is in ecstasy – rapture.  But this does not happen till near or at the end of the tribulation, not at or near the beginning of the tribulation, or even pre-tribulation.  It is at the end of the tribulation and she is ecstatic – Raptured.  Yahshua/Israel (the creator) will return and gather his people, this is akin to the Hebrew wedding practice of the bride coming out of the home to meet her groom and indeed she feels ecstasy, she feels rapturous.

44    Israel's people will meet him, as told us in Matthew 13 and 1 Thessalonians 4 and other verses, but it is not before the Tribulation, but immediately after.  Matthew 24 describes events leading to the abomination of desolation also known as the tribulation.  In verses 29 - 31 (en# 9.2) Yahshua answers the question of his disciples about when he will return, to which he very straight forwardly tells you "shall see the Son of man coming" "Immediately after the tribulation".  Remember Daniels report (Daniel 12:8-13) of blessing those who come through 1335 days (3.5 years).  Israel will come and take his bride, who travailed and overcame the tribulation (abomination of desolation), but only after and not before.

Remember the synopsis of the movie trailer reprinted above?  The last line said "This is the rapture that God has planned as  the first sign to begin the unraveling of the end of time."  If an event involving Israel (the creator) coming for his people is the FIRST sign to begin the end of time, then what are those things which Yahshua himself said you would first see before he comes?  Maybe they are pre-first - NOT.

The Clear and Plain Utterance from the Mouth of YOUR Savior.
Will you Believe?

Beyond Matthew 24 (already mentioned) there are more direct statements from the mouth of Yahshua, on this topic.

45    Yahshua gave a parable of the tares to explain the harvest of the people of the Kingdom.  In Matthew 13:24 - 30 (en# 10.1) Yahshua tells how wheat and tares (weeds) come to be in the field together.  The tares are discovered and the farmer tells his servants NOT to remove the tares.  Rather he instructs them to leave the tares till harvest time.  If an effort to remove the tares were executed before the wheat is mature, the wheat may also be damaged and removed.  So the farmer tells the servants to leave the tares till harvest time, and then to TAKE the tares FIRST, and burn them.  AFTER the servants have TAKEN the tares and destroyed them, they are to collect the wheat and store it safely in the barn.

46    This is a parallel to the “takings” in the verses described earlier in this paper and used by pre-tribulation believers to support a rapture – a saving.  The message of this parable is that the “bad” are taken and the “good” are left behind, for a time.

47    But do not take my word for it, take Yahshua’s word for it.  If you believe Israel, the Christ (Messiah), your savior, then surely you believe he would not lie to you.

48    In Matthew 13:36 (en# 10.2) Yahshua’s disciples approached him and asked him to explain the parable of the tares.  Then in verses 37 – 43 (en# 10.3) Yahshua very plainly and clearly told what is needed to disprove a pre-tribulation rapture (in which anyone “taken” is NOT “saved”).

49    Look closely at verse 41 ---

“The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom
all things that offend, and them which do iniquity;”

Notice that the timing here is related to something to do with the “Son of man” – Yahshua, and those TAKEN (gathered out) are those which OFFEND.  Obviously, they are not SAVED.  So at the return of Yahshua/Israel (the creator), the Christ, his messengers will come and take the offensive people and leave behind the less offensive people.  Where does Yahshua say those who offend are taken?  Earlier we learned they are taken where the flesh eating birds are, and in Matthew 13:42 we are told they are taken to be burned   As if that is not enough, Yahshua goes further to say this place will have wailing (horrible pain) and gnashing of teeth.

50    Do you really want to be TAKEN to where the flesh eating birds are, to where you will be burned, to where there is wailing and your flesh is eaten?

What about the First Death?

51    We can not enter the Kingdom till we are resurrected in the first resurrection.  This implies we must first die.  If we first must die, then how can a person both die and be saved from death at the same time.

52    Hebrews 9:27 (en# 11) tells us that all men must die, at least the first death.  Revelation 20:6 and Revelation 5:10 (en# 12 and en# 13) tells us that those resurrected (in the 1st resurrection) will enter the Kindom of Heaven and rule as Kings and Priests.

53    If you are taken before death, then surely you are not destined to enter the Kingdom.

Are your ears still being tickled?

54    If after all this, you still want to follow the false teaching of a pre-tribulation rapture, a taking, a saving, then most certainly it is because a belief in such pleasantly tickles your ears.  There is nothing new under the sun (or Son), for 2 Timothy 4:1-5 (en# 11) tells us the sheep will flock to these deceivers, these men (and women) who proclaim to know the truth of Yah and do not reveal it to the sheep.  Why?  Because YOU do not want to endure sound doctrine, a teaching that might mean YOU have to put out an effort.  Instead, YOU prefer a doctrine that tickles your ears, that is pleasing to YOUR comfort.  A belief in a “saving” prior to the tribulation, a belief in a process that will save you from having to endure the pains of the tribulation, is only because you seek an easy way out, even in light of evidence of such belief being false.

55    There is NO PROOF of any pre-tribulation rapture and could not be, because Yahshua/Israel (the creator) or Yah (I Am) is not a liar.

Mat 24:32 Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh:
33 So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.
34 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.
35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.
36 But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.
37 But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
38 For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,
39 And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
40 Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
41 Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
42 Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.

Luke 17:20 And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them
and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation:
21 Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.
22 And he said unto the disciples, The days will come, when ye shall desire to see one of the days of the Son of man, and ye shall not see it.
23 And they shall say to you, See here; or, see there: go not after them, nor follow them.
24 For as the lightning, that lighteneth out of the one part under heaven, shineth unto the other part under heaven; so shall also the Son of man be in his day.
25 But first must he suffer many things, and be rejected of this generation.
26 And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man.
27 They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all.
 28 Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded;
29 But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all.
30 Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed.
31 In that day, he which shall be upon the housetop, and his stuff in the house, let him not come down to take it away: and he that is in the field, let him likewise not return back.
 32 Remember Lot's wife.
33 Whosoever shall seek to save his life shall lose it; and whosoever shall lose his life shall preserve it.
34 I tell you, in that night there shall be two men in one bed; the one shall be taken, and the other shall be left.
35 Two women shall be grinding together; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
36 Two men shall be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
37 And they answered and said unto him, Where, Lord? And he said unto them, Wheresoever the body is, thither will the eagles be gathered together.

Daniel 12:8 And I heard, but I understood not: then said I, O my Lord, what shall be the end of these things?
9 And he said, Go thy way, Daniel: for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end.
10 Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand.
11 And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, and the abomination that maketh desolate set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days.
12 Blessed is he that waiteth, and cometh to the thousand three hundred and five and thirty days.
13 But go thou thy way till the end be: for thou shalt rest, and stand in thy lot at the end of the days.

Matthew 24:21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.
22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.
23 Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not.
24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.

Matthew 24:1 And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: and his disciples came to him for to shew him the buildings of the temple.
2 And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.
3 And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?
4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.
5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.
6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.
7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.
8 All these are the beginning of sorrows.
9 Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake.
10 And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.
11 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.
12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.
13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.
14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.
15 When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)
16 Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains:
17 Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house:
18 Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes.
19 And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days!
20 But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day:
21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.
25 Behold, I have told you before.
26 Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not.
27 For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
28 For wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together.
29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:
30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
31 And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
32 Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh:

Matthew 13:24  Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field:
25 But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way.
26 But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also.
27 So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, didst not thou sow good seed in thy field? from whence then hath it tares?
28 He said unto them, An enemy hath done this. The servants said unto him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up?
29 But he said, Nay; lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them.
30 Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.
31 Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is like to a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and sowed in his field:
32 Which indeed is the least of all seeds: but when it is grown, it is the greatest among herbs, and becometh a tree, so that the birds of the air come and lodge in the branches thereof.
33 Another parable spake he unto them; The kingdom of heaven is like unto leaven, which a woman took, and hid in three measures of meal, till the whole was leavened.
34 All these things spake Jesus unto the multitude in parables; and without a parable spake he not unto them:
35 That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying, I will open my mouth in parables; I will utter things which have been kept secret from the foundation of the world.
36 Then Jesus sent the multitude away, and went into the house: and his disciples came unto him, saying, Declare unto us the parable of the tares of the field.
 37 He answered and said unto them, He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man;
 38 The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one;
39 The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels.
40 As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world.
 41 The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity;
42 And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.
43 Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.

2 Timothy 4:1 I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom;
2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.
 3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.
5 But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.

Hebrews 9:24 For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but
into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us:
25 Nor yet that he should offer himself often, as the high priest entereth into the holy place every year with
blood of others;
26 For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once in the end of the
world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself.
27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:
28 So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear
the second time without sin unto salvation.

Revelation 20:4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of
them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped
the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they
lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.
5 But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first
resurrection.
6 Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power,
but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.

Revelation 5:5 And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Juda, the Root of David,
hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof.
6 And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders,
stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God
sent forth into all the earth.
7 And he came and took the book out of the right hand of him that sat upon the throne.
8 And when he had taken the book, the four beasts and four and twenty elders fell down before the Lamb,
having every one of them harps, and golden vials full of odours, which are the prayers of saints.
9 And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for
thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people,
and nation;
10 And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.
